I work primarily in oils, and work on heavy duck canvas secured to handmade 2-inch deep poplar stretcher frames. I paint abstractions about my reactions to the world, to others, to ideas, and to my own history.

The elements I work with are color and composition, and I do not strive to capture objective reality on canvas.  I have studied photography, design, and drawing. I am a self-taught painter.

While living in Seattle, I showed my work in solo shows and group exhibitions at a range of galleries and spaces from 2001 to 2009, including: Forgotten Works, Artists Gallery, Art/Not Terminal Gallery, Arts West, Gallery 6311, Queen Hotel Studios, Patricia Cameron Gallery, and the PONCHO/Seattle Fine Art Auction.

I was represented by Oasis Art Gallery in Seattle from 2006 through 2009, and am now represented through Another Moon Studios in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

Summer of 2016, I began showing in Philadelphia, and have recently been included two group shows at DaVinci Art Alliance and one group show at The Plastic Club. A solo show followed, featuring new work, at Jed Williams Gallery in February 2017, and my work was included in a group show at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art over the summer of 2017. My next solo show will be at DaVinci Art Alliance in Philadelphia, November 2018.
